The 2026 iQFOiL International Games #2 concluded on March 13, 2026, in Cádiz, Spain, featuring high-stakes racing across Senior, U19, and U17 categories. After five days of competition and 16 races, the final day delivered a mix of tactical “downwind slalom” and traditional course racing. Local favorite Pilar Lamadrid (ESP) dominated the Senior Women’s fleet with a flawless wire-to-wire win, while Mateus Isaac (BRA) secured the Senior Men’s title after a tight battle with American rivals.
Renowned for its rich maritime heritage and ideal year-round sailing conditions, Cádiz Bay offers a spectacular natural arena for world-class iQFOiL racing. Competitors can expect steady Atlantic breezes, mild temperatures, and clear skies: perfect ingredients for fast, tactical, and exhilarating races.
Event once again featured top-level competition for the Senior Class, while also serving as an inspiring stage for the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Classes. Young sailors will have the exceptional chance to race alongside top competitors, gaining firsthand experience and learning from the best in the sport.
Event Highlights
- Senior Dominance: Pilar Lamadrid utilized her home-turf advantage to lead the Grand Final from start to finish. In the Men’s fleet, Mateus Isaac and Noah Lyons (USA) had a fierce fight for the first mark before Isaac took control to claim gold.
- Youth Tactical Moves: The U19 Women’s final was decided by a brilliant “jibe-set” maneuver by Salomé Simon (FRA) at the first mark, allowing her to overtake the week-long leader, Thea Le Borgne Zibetti.
- Junior Comebacks: The U17 Girls’ final saw multiple lead changes and a dramatic restart for Maria Miarczynska (POL), ultimately resulting in a victory for Parla Kabasakal (TUR) after a late mistake by the Polish leaders.
