Making its Olympic debut in 2024, the iQFOiL is the official class association for the Olympic windsurfing. It is fast, physical, and tactical sport combining the skills of traditional windsurfing with the cutting edge foiling technology.
There are currently three racing formats: slalom (which is an approximately three-minute reaching race), course (which is an approximately 20-minute upwind-downwind race), and marathon (which is an approximately 60-minute race). The gear is sized down for youth and junior sailors (still foiling), with a smooth transition to senior level gear. Overall, iQFOiL brings Olympic windsurfing to greater speeds and to new and exciting race formats.
