The iQFOiL World Championships 2025 took place in Aarhus, Denmark, from July 4th to July 11th, 2025. This hydrofoiling water sports event was hosted at the Aarhus International Sailing Center, a location well-known for its experience in organizing international sailing competitions and as a training hub for Danish iQFOiL athletes.
Windfoiling event gathered elite windsurfers from across the globe demonstrating their foiling and sailing skills and speed. Aarhus, situated on Denmark’s eastern coast, is renowned for its diverse marine environment, offering consistent winds and challenging currents that delivered exciting and unpredictable races.

The 2025 iQFOiL World Championship concluded with Emma Wilson (GBR 7) and Andy Brown (GBR 360) being crowned the new World Champions. The event featured intense competition, culminating in a thrilling Medal Series. In the Women’s fleet, Tamar Steinberg (ISR 216) secured the silver medal, while Theresa Steinlein (GER 799) earned the bronze. For the Men’s fleet, Tom Arnoux (FRA 152) took home the silver, and Nicolò Renna (ITA 150) claimed the bronze.
The championships saw competitors navigate through Quarter Finals and Semifinals leading up to the Grand Finals. Emma Wilson notably overcame an early crash in the Women’s Grand Final to win the decisive race and her first senior World title, while Andy Brown dominated the Men’s final race to secure his championship. The event was marked by challenging and unpredictable wind conditions, which truly tested the athletes’ skills.

The 2025 iQFOiL World Championship in Aarhus proved to be a significant event, not only crowning new champions in Emma Wilson and Andy Brown but also showcasing the exceptional talent of a rising generation of athletes.
