‘Against All Odds’, the team’s Season 3 foiling catamarans documentary produced by Hubert Pelletier, aired recently on TSN and is now available on YouTube. If you missed the premiere during the hydrofoiling event in Halifax, get your popcorn ready and click below to watch it!

The official Canada SailGP Team documentary features the inception of the team and how we navigated the tumultuous water of our first season in SailGP. As SailGP’s Season 4 came to an end with the Grand Final in San Francisco, the team set a new speed record for the F50 – hitting 101.98 kph while testing the Season 5 T-Foils.

“The T-Foils continued to show remarkable performance versus the benchmark of the current (HSB) foils,” said Driver Phil Robertson. “With the additional speed the boat was able to hit 100 kph a number of times. With the sea state and the potential for higher winds, there is clearly more performance to come.”

Looking ahead, the Season 5 calendar is action packed with inaugural events in Brazil, Switzerland and Germany. We recognize that it is disappointing news for our fans that there won’t be a Canadian event in 2025, especially given the record breaking success of the first ever ROCKWOOL Canada Sail Grand Prix last month in Halifax.

Behind the scenes, we are working hard to ensure the team is on the start line when Season 5 begins in November in Dubai and discussions are already under way for a Canadian event in Season 6.
